NorthfieldWeAre.com is a digital platform for engaging residents in their place, creating a space where people can engage and connect with the whole neighbourhood and its community.

Northfield as a ward based neighbourhood to the south of Birmingham close to the boundary with Worcestershire. It has a population of just over 10,000. As a larger district covering other Birmingham wards, it has a population of more than 103,000.

Northfield has a strong industrial and manufacturing history having been at the centre of the Midlands nail making industry during the 19th century and then being home during the 20th century to both the Kalamazoo paper factory and the Austin motor company's Longbridge factory.
Pre-Roman times, it is believed that the area of Northfield belonged to the Celtic tribe.
Evidence of Roman occupation was discovered by chance when, close to Bristol Road South, Pigeon House near Hill Top Road was demolished in c1921 (as the Bristol Road was being widened) and the Northfield hoard of 16 Roman coins was found buried there.
